Cranial Orthosis
The orthosis (baby helmet) gently allows the head to grow into a symmetrical and proportional head shape, and the average duration of orthotic usage is between 3 to 5 months.
The best time to get started is between 4 to 7 months of age.
HELMET THERAPY
Vegetable-based material is gentle on the skin. The perforated structure is lightweight and allows ventilation, reducing the baby’s sweating.
COMFORTABLE
Every helmet is 3D printed based on a 3D scan of the baby’s head shape to achieve a perfect fit.
CUSTOMISED
Patent-pending design has been utilised in over 40 countries on over 15,000 babies

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Research estimates that more than 3% of newborn babies have a severe or very severe head shape deformity. Up to 50% have a mild or medium deformity. Speak to your pediatrician, or you can visit Sano Orthotics for a consultation.
-
Cranial Remolding Orthoses are intended for medical purposes for infants from 3 to 18 months of age with moderate-to-severe cranial deformities
However, the effects of the Cranial Remolding Orthosis may be limited after 12 months of age. -
The duration varies depending on the child's age at the start and their growth rate. Children younger than 12 months often use the orthosis for 3–6 months
-
The Cranial Remolding Orthosis has contact with the head in the prominent regions and a precisely pre-defined internal space in the areas where flattening occurs. When wearing the orthosis, the head is only allowed to physiologically grow in the predefined space of the Cranial Orthosis, which improves the cranial symmetry and/or physiological shape.
-
This is dependent on the age and the rate of head growth of the baby.
For most babies, the improvements can be seen within the first two months of wearing the orthosis -
After taking the orthosis off, if you do not see any red spots on your baby‘s head, or if these spots disappear within the 1-hour daily treatment break, the orthosis is fitting correctly and suitable for wearing.
